Mechanical engineer

Mechanical engineers look after the mechanical side of meter production in Dehradun, from incoming brass and plastic parts to assembled meters. Those parts are made by vendors from Mega Worker's own moulds, so much of the job is making sure that what arrives matches what the moulds should produce.
What you'll do
- Inspect incoming brass and plastic parts against drawings and approved samples.
- Keep track of the condition of Mega Worker's moulds and take up problems with the vendors who use them.
- Support mechanical manufacturing and the assembly of meters.
- Work with the calibration and testing stages on meters that fail, and find the mechanical cause.
- Help improve jigs, fixtures and the flow of work on the assembly floor.
What we look for
- A diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- The ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring instruments such as vernier callipers and micrometers.
- An understanding of moulded plastic parts and brass parts.
- Care with detail and with records.
