Consumption profile
The pattern of a consumer's water use over time, built from frequent meter readings: by the hour, the day or the season. It shows when water is used, how much, and whether flow ever drops to zero.
Why it matters
A profile that never falls to zero at night points to a leak or a running tap inside the property. Utilities also use profiles to plan supply hours and spot unusual use.
